Everybody Starts Somewhere

You do not need to have your whole career decided. You need somewhere meaningful to begin.

Career beginnings are described far more confidently in retrospect than they are experienced at the time. Most people start without a plan that survives contact with reality, and learn what they are good at by doing work and being told the truth about it.

Practical experience compresses that timeline. A week of real customer conversations teaches more about communication than a semester of theory, because the feedback is immediate and specific.

Feedback is the part people underestimate. Repetition without coaching produces habits; repetition with coaching produces skill. The difference is whether somebody is telling you precisely what to adjust.

It is also worth being clear about what beginning looks like here. Entry roles at Genesis Group are customer-facing sales roles: direct conversations, retail and field environments, performance expectations, daily coaching, and team goals.

That is not a hedge. It is the actual work — and it is where communication, resilience, and business judgment get built.
